Während eines Praktikums in einer ersten Grundschulklasse habe ich im Umgang mit den Kindern verschiedene Beobachtungen gemacht, die mich zum Teil erstaunt, zum Teil erfreut haben.
Erschrocken struggle ich darüber, wie unaufmerksam manche SchülerInnen sind und dass es nicht selbstverständlich ist, dass sie eine Schulstunde lang auf ihrem Platz sitzen bleiben können.
Auch scheint das Interesse der Eltern an ihrem Schulkind sehr unterschiedlich zu sein. Einige Eltern achten sehr auf das Erledigen von Hausaufgaben und suchen häufig das Gespräch mit der Klassenlehrerin, um über den Entwicklungsstand des Kindes informiert zu sein. Andere Eltern kümmern sich weniger, so dass es häufig sehr lange dauert, bis ein style komplett mit Schulheften usw. versorgt ist.
Ein weiterer Aspekt, der für mich neu conflict, sind die extremen Differenzen im Vorwissen der SchulanfängerInnen. Ein Schüler überraschte bereits beim Schuleintritt mit nahezu perfekten Lese- und Schreibkenntnissen, wohingegen andere SchülerInnen auch nach einem halben Jahr noch große Schwierigkeiten beim Lesen, Schreiben und Rechnen aufweisen.
Insgesamt kamen für mich dadurch verschiedene Fragen auf:
Was kann guy von einem variety in der ersten Klasse erwarten? Wie viel Vorwissen sollte es mitbringen? Welche Leistungen kann guy erwarten? Sind all diese SchülerInnen „schulreif"? used to be ist überhaupt Schulreife
In diesem Zusammenhang stellt sich auch die Frage, welche Bedeutung der Kindergarten bei der Vorbereitung auf die Schulzeit hat.
